Plumeria “Stenopetala”
Plumeria stenopetala, a species native to Cuba, is a highly fragrant and visually unique Plumeria celebrated for its spider-like blooms and weeping growth habit. This rare species is cherished for its strong jasmine and carnation-like perfume, making it a standout addition to any collection.
The flowers of P. stenopetala are delicate and spider-like, with thin, curly white petals that form large hanging clusters. Each bloom measures between 4 to 5 inches. Its weeping floral clusters add an elegant, cascading effect, making the plant particularly striking in a well-curated garden.
This species features a compact yet vine-like growth habit, with thin branches that naturally adopt a strongly weeping structure. The leaves are narrow and delicate, complementing the plant’s overall graceful appearance. P. stenopetala is a heavy bloomer, consistently producing its spectacularly fragrant blossoms throughout the growing season. Highly rust resistant.
